Reporting a mistake
Every story has a Report an error link. You can also email us with the page’s address and what is wrong. A link to a source helps.
How we correct
A wrong report is withdrawn, not edited away. We record why it was withdrawn and recompute the injury without it, so the status, expected return and games strip change everywhere it appears.
A wrong player match is moved to the right player, or removed if we cannot tell who it was about.
Our own wording, a headline or a summary sentence, is fixed in the template that wrote it, so the same mistake is not repeated on other pages.
We aim to act within a day. Pages update on the next publish, every few minutes.
What stays on record
The reports we read and the claims we drew from them are kept as they were, with every withdrawal noted beside them. The sources a page lists are always the ones it was written from.
